well here is my version of the leo. this one is being built all oob, and is being used by the munster armor school of the german armed forces. since they do all the training for the tank crews. so far a great kit with all most no fitting problems. i just have one fit issue thats at the back of the tank in the left hand corner. i have a small gap thier that will need some filling and sanding to take care of that. this will be painted in nato colors but with a slight twist to the paint scheme. we all know how the germans were at doing camo in WWII and how many crazy paint schemes thier was. so it got me thinking which its not good for me to do that these days. the paint scheme will be top secret for now. so here whats been done so far. by the way what would be the closet match for model master paints for nato colors? thanks rob.
well this is were i ended the building at lastnight. i say i am about 50% done with it. the roadwheels are done and ready for paint and so is the main body of the tank. all thats left is putting the turret together and painting it.
well i am now ready for the paint booth. all thats left to do is add the turret baskets and the grenade luanches and the side skirts. i was going to attempt a 3 d painting for this but that would have been a lot of cutting and a lot of tape plus time. so i decide to do a new type of winter paint schemes for it. so enjoy the pics and all comments are welcome.
Can’t wait to see the paint on it. Weathre has turned fould again, so my “paint booth” is closed for a few more days. Hopefully you have more success tahn I’ve been having with paint[:)]
