A gentleman by the name of Frank MacDonald was burried in Launceston, Tasmania, on Saturday.
He was one of seven surviving WW1 soldiers in Australia. He served in France in WW1 but I do not know where he served in WW2. He said in an interview just before he died that he owed his survival to the fact that he was never shot!
He was accorded a full State funeral. He was 107 yrs old.
