So many tanks, so many options, so little time. [:p] One thing i like about this group build idea, is it’s getting me to the workbench and ACTUALLY working on a kit. This is a prime motivator for me, otherwise I’d be on this computer all day.
I would be willing to put the M1 build off until spring. Then it would be easier to for everyone to participate in either one. but i would like to dee some feedback from some other people on what they would like to do.
I could live with that, I’d like to finish my Panzer III after the Panther build.

so does this sound good to everyone: have a modern armor build say in march. Sherman build go on as planned.
When’s the Sherman build start? We could wait for it to end.
well its to start in january. so it should be winding down sometime in march. (my guess)
hey robert can we have more info on this sherman build? maybe you should make the first post (get dave to sticky it) on its rules and dates, and people could start signing up. (just MHO)
If you can hold it off till spring I could make it my last project before the upcoming move.
Either M1 or Sheman is fine by me.
Otoh, I am quiet partial towards a JGSDF Type 90 MBT w/Mine Roller.

I am fine with either 1/87, 1/72, 1/48 & 1/35, bigger and i run into storage problems.

Well, I would love to do another group build but I cant spring for another kit at the moment. The only Allied kit I have on the shelf is the AFV M10.
How about Allied armor in the Battle of the Bulge? We could have lots of fun with winter camo and sloppy white washes!!!
One theme that I saw that really looked fun was on the missing lynx forum a few months ago… They challenged the fly boys to build tanks while the armor guys built planes. Of course missing lynx didn’t have any fly boys building tanks, BUT WE HAVE PLENTY OF FLY BOYS!!! Perhaps a CHALLENGE!?!?!?!?!?[:-^]
If we really want to get into that last idea, we could have David ask the FSM staff to judge the winners and make like a special icon, or link on the main page for the winning forum. All in the name of fun of course.[:D][:D]
Sorry, for the double post, but one other build that I have been wanting to do is using only parts from the scrap box. Anything is game, but you can only use parts from the scrap box, and sheet styrene.[}:)]
edog, that challenge idea sounds really fun. unfortunately for me, since you guys seem to be pushing for a post panther group build date, i wont be able to do diddly since ill be back to college crap. I probably wont be in any group builds until summer.

I’ve got an academy bradley m-2 I’ve been needing an excuse to start plus a hmmwv I’m working on now? But I could go pick up an m-1 before the PXtra sells out?

my personal vote would b 4 the M1 Abrams build, since i’m starting 2 have a few of these hanging around just asking 2 b built.
i could go w/ either 1/72 or 1/35 scale, not that i’m a Major G. level collector of Abrams kits, but i do seem 2 have ended up with a few of these puppies & could use a good reason 2 get 2 work on 1 ! [:)]
OTOH, i’ve also got an italeri Sherman in 1/35 and another in 1/72, so i’m covered there, too.[;)]
