I’ve seen Derpanzerwerk before, he does some very good work. Personally I think he overdoes the weathering a bit, but that is my personal preference for more subtle.
They really are nice builds.
Personally, I don’t think I’d ever buy a pre-assembled model.
people pay for these? How common is this?
Very common. People sell built models on Ebay all the time. I build models often on consignment, have never sold them on Ebay though. I get plenty of business from word of mouth and people I know. They are not usually bought by modelers though, but by people who collect armor models and either don’t have the ability or desire to build them themselves. Most of mine are farewell gifts for soldiers and display models of their vehicles, etc.

That dude is making a killing selling these, did you see the price?
at least he puts in enough AM parts to make a price actually seem okay considering the paint job was great. better than some prebuilt car models i have seen for an even heftier price with nothing extra included aside from some crappy AMT out of box kits with a single color paint job plus some nice decal job.
