Wow. Killer dios.
The great thing about 48th is that you can fir more stuff on the base without making it look like a toybox.
Very cool indeed, thanks Brian
Very clever and different. Thanks for sharing. Soon we’ll be seeing many more 1/48 dios.
Wow, I love this dio, even more than the one’s with the planes - and I build planes. Very well executed on a very interesting scene. Thanks for the pics.
Wow, those clothes hanging between the buildings just add so much liveliness to the scene.
Brian, I know this is probably a stupid question, but did anyone from Tamiya say what they next 48th releases will be? (I assume you’d have said if you heard anything, but I just have to ask anyway.)
The only releases announced so far (as far as I know!) are the T-34/76 (next week!), the M4A1, M10, Bren Gun Carrier, a Citroen car, and various German and Allied figure sets.
That, and two more 1/35 releases after the Leclerc.
They are pretty tight-lipped about upcoming releases, to thwart other Asian companies from cranking out the same kit first.
What diorama potential that thing has! Particularly if they release a high command figure set.
Sounds about normal for 35th releases in a year from Tamiya. I hope this confirms to 35th modelers that 48th is no threat to 35th.
Makes sense to me! Still, I’d love to have read that they were doing an IS-II in 48th … A fellow can dream.
Coincidentally, that’s precisely the one I STRONGLY recommended when they asked me what I’d like to see in 1/48! That and some modern stuff.
Very cool … that´s a good idea…
