Another from the Mrs'

hello to all from the Queen, well I have pretty much moved my husband out of the way so i can have room to build
, and yes when he brings some kits home I take what I want to build. right now I am just about through with my half track
just a little touching up to do i’ll be sending some pictures soon. Thankyou all for the replys they were helpful.

Sheila,

Just have Eric run out and buy you kits. That way, you save time shopping to do your modeling and you keep him away from YOUR modeling!! LOL
I think it’s so great that you two can do this together. I wish I could get anybody in my family fired up about modeling! Do you guys have the same sets of tools, etc. or do you each have your own favorites?

Bill

We have the same set of tools, when we do modeling together it’s just about the only way we can spend time together, besides his work and running fire calls in the evning.

Lizardqueen:
that’s a lovely piece of work there ! welcome to the forum, and looking forward to more great models from u !!!
back in wwii, the girls built them and the guys wrecked them… at least that’s how my grandma told it ![:D]
keep on building !
frosty[:)]

Sure guys, just keep on filling her head with thoughts, like I need my life to more difficult [;)]

Glad to help, Chris. We’re all just envious, that’s all!

Bill

That’s right! Nothing like a government owned vehicle to tool around in and see just what it really can do![:D][:D]

Yes, Chris, we are all envious of your shared interest! My wife will never model for me… [:0] I er, mean, uh, build a model WITH me. Thank goodness she doesn’t mind my building! AND thank goodness even more that she’ll come to do volunteer work with me at Knox on old tanks[:)]!

Ron.

Ron, see there now you’ve got me envious of you being able to things with the real deal. Knox is probally the closest place for me to go see a decent collection of armor and that’s still a pretty decent drive.

My drive to get there is ten hours, which isn’t too bad, but not great either. IF you’re (or anybody in the forum) is interested in tips on visiting or becoming a volunteer, just drop me a note and I’ll gladly share any insights. I started as a regular volunteer, did a reenactment on the Priest crew (the Party Wagon) one year, and gradually worked up to being a driver, after several years crewing different vehicles. It can be a lot of fun and you meet some nice folks. (not to mention the GREAT photo ops!!![:D][:D][:D]!!!)

Ron

That does sound like alot of fun. i don’t know how far of a drive it is from here. The only time I’ve really been to KY was on a nonstop drive there and back and I was on auto piolet for most of it. Hope to make it there one day though.
