Another F4J(UK)

heres a picture of the underside , but i think i went a bit OTT the the dry brushing in the wheel wells with the yellow , and I need to touch up the shocks with a bit of red paint , so looks like i’m going to be busy

Darn, does that look good, Sean. More Pictures!!!

Cheers guys , I’ll have some more pictures soon

Looks great, thanks for all the pics…

Looks great! Just so happens I wound up with a PE set of Eduard formation lights for the Tamiya 1/32 Phantom (that’s what it says on the label. Don’t know why they wouldn’t go on a Revell F-4 in that scale.) The light strips are each in two parts: the flourescent puky colored light, and the thin framing. So now I’m 1/1000th of the way toward having me a big Phantom. Same with with the 1/32 Hasegawa FW-190A-5 and the A-8. I’ve managed to acquire every PE set for those kits (there are three each for both kits), and, like the Tamiya F-4C/D I would love to do, I don’t have a prayer of buying or building either of them in the next two or three years given a) the expense and b) the list of builds I’m already committed to and c) how sloooowly I work. So I pull out all these PE sets and look at them and imagine how I would use them if I could. Weird? Perhaps. A waste of time? Certainly. Fun? You bet.

I Used the eduard set on this one (1st attempt ) , used the foration lights hand painted them in , i just completed the canopy , and now in the process of decaling , hopefully I’ll have some pictures up very soon , and I cant beleive I still haven’t put on the front wheels yet

Looks great, Sean! Thanks for giving us a peek.

well Ihad a disaster the paint lifted on the side fuselage , so not to be out done i decided to paint the bear bits in the undercoat color as i want a well used look , try not to laugh at my patch up job

Wow! I just might start my 1/32 RF-4C after seeing that. Keep it up!
