he’s out of his mind.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I think that price is a little steep [D)]. Bryan
That guy is out of his mind! Plan and simple!
Unreal!
Wow!
There is a guy in England who builds 1/5 or 1/6 scale vehicles out of aluminim.I’d rather have on of those for the money.Fully remote control. All the bells and whistles. Some can fire 9mm ammo.
I am thinking about putting my youngest child on Ebay and using the money to buy that tank.
Armortek. And you need a couple more bucks. Around $7000 for all the bells and whistles delivered. Still a better deal than the ebay item.

Holly Moly ! If I had that kind of cash to spend on a model , I would retire from the army .

I don’t know how they do it “DOWN UNDER” and I believe his eyes are filled with dollar signs.
This “highly detailed” model with custom made tracks put on E-bay for the world to see is truly unique.
Check out the port side tracks that have been put on backwards.
“OOPS”
good lord,I hope someone doesnt buy it just to show him he’s asking way, way too much.
Which side is port?
Port side is Navy lingo , for Left side . And the tracks are indeed mounted in opposite directions . ( the older T-156 Track ) . In the Concord book on M1 's , there is a pic with the tracks mounted like his . And in the book , Armor in Vietnam , by Squadron/Signal Publications Inc. , page 19 , at the bottom , there is a pic of an M-48 , with both tracks " pointing " the wrong direction" .On the cover jacket of Modern Combat Vehicles 4 : M-48 , by Geoffry Tillotson , there is a pic of an M-48 , with the tracks " pointing in opposte directions ". So lets not critisize him , too much for that .However the price he is asking , well , that’s something else . Heck , I could get a mail order wife from Russia , for that price ! LOL. Frank
" PERSEVERANCE " .
Wow what is this guy on. I can build one for 3 times the price.
And in the US you still have to buy a new radio since the one in it is not legal in the US(wrong freq), if you don’t 10 years and/or $10,000.00
This is a message from the seller of that item on eBay about the pricing.
Firstly you will not find this tank anywhere in the world, anywhere.
Also 1/5 - 1/6 tanks cost upto $10,000 !! and do no more than this tank other than drive through water plus projectile firing toys are illegal in most countries.
Secondly you may notive the price of Tamiya 1/16 tanks, without batteries OR radio gear, for a full functional kit at around $1,100 to $1,300.
On top of that $300 - $400 for your radio gear maybe another $50 - $150 on batteries, also a charger, double sided tape, tamiya tools etc.
So by the time you are done you are looking at at least $1600 - $1700 for a Tamiya 1/16 tank then you have to build it !!!
For those of you who challenge you can build it much cheaper then you are most welcome and completely wrong !!
The cost of this vehicle :
$650 for the base - steel plate, lathe turned wheels, rubber road, wheels, heavy duty spring loaded suspension from Armour concepts
$400 for 2 x Tamiya DMD drives
$200 for the Abrams shell
$200 3 x 7.2 v batteries + 12 AA Sanyo rechargables
$ 50 charger
$400 for cast metal track and drive wheels from Kenny Kong Hong Kong.
$200 for 2 x electronic speed controllers
so that is already $2100 not including build costs.
I can gurantee no one on this site will find a better detailed tank or even an Abrams models that matches it becuase NO ONE ELSE BUILDS THEM !!
So check out Tamiya and see how much the charge for a tank compared to this quality.
yes you can buy a cheap abrams remote tank for $200 , if you want a tank that looks like a toy.
This tank is for enthusiasts who appreciate quality detail.
PS the track is not backwards because that picture is from Armoured concepts who no longer make these hulls. Also the radio is not illegal as the Futaba kit was purchased from the US.
Thankyou for so many informed opinions.
I had a lot of comments, but after I read the thread above, I’m gonna keep them to myself. “Sometimes, what it is, is not what it appears to be…”
Man i need to start saleing crap on e-bay…LOL
