Okay people, gather 'round for another update! I’ve got three planes in the running today to show.
This first pic is a pic of my Tu-16 Badger all painted and ready for clearcoat:
Oh, and while I was at it painting the grey on the Badger, I figured I’d finally paint the grey on a 1/48th scale F-102 Delta Dagger I’ve been building for a friend. Here it is, all clearcoated as well and ready for decals:
And last but not least, I have decaled the RF-4 Phantom. At least I decaled what I could that is. Here is what I mean:
Now the reason I didn’t get to finish the decaling, is because the opposite wingtips, tail, and side of the vertical stabilizer are all yellow with wide red stripes through them. On the decal sheet, I find the red stripes. I look at the instruction sheet and I have to PAINT the wingtips and tail YELLOW!!
Oh well. These decals are on, and the remainder of the funky big owl on the bottom will be put on the landing gear doors when they get installed on the plane. Other than that, I just have to paint the black nose, exhaust nozzles and the steel/metallic areas on the tail and this puppy is done! I’ve already clearcoated over the decals I’ve put on so that any further handling will not cause harm.

LOL! Thanks Carlos! I just may have these done for the meeting too. As for the 1/48th plane, yeah, I’m building that for a good friend of mine who was the project development manager for this plane. He’s always wanted one and I hope to have it finished for him soon.

That is some excellent work! What are you using for a clear coat? Very well done. Especially like the Deuce, always had a soft spot for that kit. Looking forward to the next update! [:D]
Wow, Mark… you’ve got a lot of irons-in-the-fire there! And chugging right along with them too; the F-4 is trying real hard to resist you, but it’s loosing! Outstanding work!!

Daywalker, I use Future floor polish. now known as “Pledge with Future Shine” for my clearcoat. Sprays on smooth without thinning, lays itself down, and rinses out with water! Thanksagaini for the compliment.
Oldhooker, thanks. Yeah, that Phantom gave me a good fight, but I’m wearing him down. I got him right where I want him now! And I do have a lot of irons in the fire; check out my Armor threads and you’ll see more. I guess I’m just a bit too impatient to work on one at a time.
Great off, I take my hat off to those of you that can do 2 or 3 models at the same time. I struggle to keep the impetus going on one LOL.

Thanks Guy. Yeah, it is a crazy scheme on that Phantom. It was crazy when I had to paint it white! I hope to have more done soon. And I’m not just building 2-3 aircraft, I’m also working on 5-6 Armor models as well. Feel free to check therm out in the Armor Forums. (You should do a Forum Search for my threads as all 6 are scattered in different Threads.)
