How does one cure the anhedral problem with the 1/48th TA-154? The real aircraft did not have it.
Just in case you haven’t solved this problem yet, the first two paragraphs under “Construction” at this link may help… http://www.modelingmadness.com/reviews/axis/luft/cleaver154.htm Good luck !
I am building the DML rebox (3&1) of this kit right now. While I was googling the other day, I came across Pixilater’s (Bill) build article addressing this very problem. He suggests gluing the uppers first in the correct position, and then simply filling the gap underneath, which he fixed with plasticard strip. I’m getting ready to fit the wings tomorrow, and this is how I will address the issue.
These must be the same molds boxed by Revell as well, because I saw a completed Revell build where the modeler built the plane with drooped wings…blechhhh
Steve
Thanks for the “plug” (pun intended), Steve.
I shimmed the gap with sheet styrene, and cut off the excess. Sanding did the rest. You can see it in my build article: http://www.pix.prettyneatinc.com/moskitobuild.htm
Hope this helps !
If this is the rebox of the Trimaster/DML/Italeri/Revell/anybody else who wants a shot at it kit, I’ve been told glueing the top wing halves to the fuselage then attaching the lower wing halves and adjusting and shimming will fix the problem. I’ve gotten rid of all of mine prior to ever starting them so i never had the chance (or the guts) to try it out.
