Hi Everyone
I know in the past there were posts concerning the Andrea Space hunter but the links to those pics aren’t workign anymore.
I dont forsee problems with the figure other than getting crisp lines on the bodynet. How was this overcome in the past? Fit looks good overall, it will definitely benefit from a larger base, tho…
Thanks for the help
David
Here’s mine (took first in modern source Sci-fi at IPMS Nationals in Phoenix in 2004.)

The foliage was taken from a bag of dried stuff form Michael’s, the water is Liquitex. I carefully dry-brushed the netting and retouched as needed. Be careful of the tusks. They were some of the smalest parts I’ve dealt with on a figure.
Yep, those tusks were quite small…carpet monster almost ate two of mine. I just went with the kit base, and for the body mesh I used a soft black pencil and lightly rubbed the edge, not the tip of it, over the mesh. I thought the overall fit was pretty good.

Hi guys
thanks for the photos, very nice work !
The netting is the only real problem I expected to encounter, otherwise it will be custom skin tones and typical metal shading and such. Very nice work, I plan on doing a larger base myself.
thanks for the heads up on the tusks, an idea for mounting them is formulating in my mind on how to do this …
thanks again
David
Looking forward to seeing how you do with it, David. It really is a great little figure, and a neat subject too! I’ve got a 1/8 scale resin model of this guy I bought online from a shop in the UK that I’m just chompin’ at the bit to get started on. Keep us posted on your progress! [tup]
Hi Mike
I sure will. I have the paint ready to go , it just has to get its turn in the pattern.
I need to finish the awful Coree 1/35 Iwo Jima first. That set is AWFUL!
