Weathering is a little extreme, but hey, if thats your thing, go for it. Nicely done, but I’ve never seen photographs of Spads looking quite that abused.

[#welcome] to the forum. You may be new to the forum, but you obviously are not new to modeling. The Skyraider is astounding. I have Navy and Air Force A-1s in Viet Nam with severe weathering like your model. That ol’ R-3350 in the nose threw oil all over eveything. The drastic effects of the harsh SEA weather took a big toll on paint jobs and the crew chiefs had their hands full just keeping the planes airworthy, let alone worrying about making them look pretty.

First off, I would like to [#welcome] you to the family. I think your Spad looks great.
The weathering of the panel lines may be a tad bit but then again its a Spad.
When my dad was around these birds at Pax Riv, if she did not leak,squirt or blow oil, you did not want to fly her[:p][;)]

By the way, what after market pilot is that?? Or did he come with the kit??

There seems to be two differing views on your weathering - but I think it’s a very visually interesting model - very well done - keep up the good work.

You really pulled off the weathering job…looks great!! Pay no attention to the naysayers who say it is overdone. War is a dirty business and ground support aircraft get filthy [:)] Hope the A-1 I build someday will look half as good.
