An IAR 81C in resin- building the Icaerodesign 1/48 kit

Time for a new project- and a new helper or two. Meet Lili!

Chuk, can you start a thread that shows how you build your girls? I will be particularly interested in the phase right before the clothes are made. Thanks.

I have the old 1/48 LTD kits in the stash. But this resin kit of Icaerodesign looks much much better. And knowing your skills you a probably make a superb model out of it.

That’s a pretty interesting subject, there Chuk.

Sure aint gonna miss this -Pass the popcorn !

Great choice Chuk. I’ll be watching close cause I’m about to start my first resin kit soon. Scale Bureau’s Yak 9U.

Awesome -Chuk is back, [::DD0] and a new helper, (insert wolf whistle here), …OUTSTANDING!

Cheers, Dave

Howdy Chuck - next great project going on!

The history of the design of that machine is interesting - the Romanians based this aircraft on the rear hull of the Polish P-11 or P-24 fighter that they were importing from Poland before the outbreak of the WWII. But they added a more conventional wing and a bigger engine.

Well good luck with your project and have a nice day

Paweł

Okay, here we go, another cool project! This will be fun to watch.

Thanks, gents! I have been sorely remiss in not answering any of your kind comments- please forgive me!

On the the occasion of the Romanian National Holiday I introduce a new friend, and some somewhat neurotic detailing. Lecotenent Margo with explain everything!

All I can say is WOW!

[:D[[:D[

That’s already starting to look sharp!

I was thinking the young ladies who are your helpers should have a handsome young man (perhaps wearing a sleeveless undershirt or bare-chested) for them to enjoy in between working on your models. After all, they must get lonesome without any male company! [:D]

Heck, perhaps all the personnel should be uh, dressed like that? I bet those cute girls would’ve gotten hot out in the sun too…Hey, just trying to make them more comfortable I am.[;)]

Just got my internet back after a move and missed this in the shuffle. All hat I can say is- Boy-O- Boy!!

Thanks, guys! Jim, thta’s an, um . interesting suggestion- but I think I’ll stick to a female crew for now. I’ve been kept busy what with Christmas and selling my old car and more, but got back to making tiny things and then dropping them on the floor today. I’ll have an update before year’s end, for sure! Merry Christmas and Joyeaux Festivus to all!!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Chuk. Great start on the IAR. Your attention to details is

amazing, Your crew is lovely as usual and I look forward to your next updates. Happy new year!

Cheers,

Ernie

I appreciate it, Ernie- cheers!

I present my last post for 2013- hooray! I’ve really gotten absorbed into the details of the cockpit- such a challenge not only to build, but to learn about all the various sub-systems and widgets. You’ll also note that I’ve replace my "artistiC’ chicken-scratch with actual typography- I hope it suits you.

The lovely Marina will be your guide- cheers- and a happy New Year to one and all!

Speaking of dropping things on the floor, it’s been a while since I fed my carpet monster. I’ll have to do that later today.[:D]

Intricate as ever. Outstanding work there.

Looking forward to more.

Thanks, gents! Here’s my first progress report for the year- enjoy!
