An Armor modeller wants to get his feet wet

Hey Guys,
Last week, our local newspaper had a brief story on the USS Wachapreague (AGP 8). One of 4 Oyster Bay class PT Boat tenders used during WW2. Since the Wachapreague was named after a local town about 8 miles from where I live. I am stoked about building one! Now is there a kit available? If not, is there a kit that can be converted?
Thanks in advance!
Gene

Sorry Gene,

No one that I’m aware of does an AGP kit. It’s a pretty esoteric subject, with only 4 ships in the class. If I find anything outside of a scartchbuild, I will let you know.

Regards,

Jeff Herne

Thanks Jeff! I kinda figured that it was a long shot!
Gene

Gene,
What’s with you and all these wierd models you want?
C’mon, (puts hand out) I’ll see you safely back home.

Oh Thank you Don! I don’t know, I’ve always been partial to the out of the ordinary stuff!
Can’t explain it,
Gene

Ahhh Yes,
And there in lies the rub (? I have no idea but it sounds good.), obscure, out of the ordinary weird, to some are normal to others. . .sadly, unless it is a P-51, Tiger Tank, Monte Carlo, or Cutty Sark some would find it odd. Sadder still, 90% of those folks are the manufacturers.
See you on DD my friend!
