Every Tu-22M/26 Backfire C I have seen has a white belly and a very pale blue upper fuselage. I am not real sure of the name of the blue color the Russians use though. There is probably someone on here that does know. Here is a pic, you might be able to match something close.

I have a tu 22 M backfire and the colors are quite generic Italeri calls for the russian aircraft to be Flat Gull Gray fs 3640 and gloss white. Although I think the field light blue mm 1508 would be a better choice I could be wrong.

Light blue, light gray??? The actual color would probably depend on how long it has been since the last paint job. Nearly all Russian aircraft stay outside in the harsh climate and colors fade and deteriorate quickly.

I painted mine white on the bottom and FS36440 (light gull gray) on the top. It looks really good, too, so it’s a safe combination. I’ve seen several photos of Backfires that look very close to 36440.
