After a long time on display at a nearby shop it finally got home again.
The sun was in a good mood [8D] so it was just to gather the stuff and get out on the balcony and shoot some pictures.
It’s painted with Zero’s Arancio Atlas Pearl from Hiroboy. Great stuff, very easy to work with and it has a fantastic glow in it.
Nothing fancy done with the kit, just a quick build right out of the box.

Would you mind a little constructive criticism from an old car moldeling fart to help improve your future builds?
Compare the model to the real car, fill in any body seams that shouldn’t be there.
Check the nose and tail piece especially.
Color sand (wet sand with 1000 or finer paper) or polish out the paint to rid the finish of the rough sandpaper like finish. Then apply a coat of quality wax. I use Meguiars Scratch X (or Crest toothpaste) for polishing after the wet sanding and then Meguiars Gold Class Paste Wax, both available at Wal*Mart. A little goes a long way and the containers will last a very long time.

I’m aware of just about everything you pointed out but as this was a kind of slam-dunk- finished-build I didn’t really care. Put it together in about 2-3 weeks including drying time and that is almost light-speed for me [(-D]
I think if you look closer it is actually glass smooth after rubbing out the paint work with micro-mesh all the way down (up?) to 12000, Meguiar’s crystal polish #2 and #3 carnauba wax. In bright light you really need sunglasses to watch it closely. The pictures doesn’t really do it justice, take a look at the hood and you’ll see how it looks.

No offense taken, keep telling me what you think I can improve. More then once I’ve missed something that people like you point out and gives me the chance to improve.
It’s all to easy to miss things in the progress, kind of like not seeing the forrest because of all the trees.

I am glad Niclas, because I sure didn’t mean to offend.
When I first got started in the hobby I wish I had the resourses and people offering advice. Back then it was a matter of try and try again along with a lot of experimenting. I’ve built many model cars and sat back and said - “That looks nothing like the real thing.” Or “What the heck happened to that paintjob?” Many models turned out to be targets for my B+B gun LOL. It took me a long time to learn how to paint with a brush and not leave brush strokes in the finish. Same for getting a “showroom” finish from a spray can.
If I ever spot something that I think could use a little improving, I will try to offer some help. Sometimes my old brain is hard to wakeup LOL. Keep up the good work. [;)]

The 2010 camaro actually does have the body seams the “old Fart” Jim eluded to earlier in this post. Maybe the pic he showed was truly a concept car or maybe just another model. But it appears as though the production vehicle will have these body seems.
I’m currently starting this model and filled the seams as well before coming across this photo. I’ve got 2 kits, (Michaels 50% coupon!) maybe I’ll paint one body each way ans see wich looks better.

Although the seams on the model are a little large ( you could lose the emblem in there) they would be necessary for body twist expansion. Also the bumper covers are a seperate item from the fenders and quarter panels. If I was building this car I would fill the seams with sprue or thin pieces of styrene and rescribe for a more realistic gap. Niclas, you Have done a fine job on this Build, looks really Great. [tup]
Nice looking build and GORGEOUS color on that. I’ve gone kit that would look GREAT on, the way I plan to finish it.
