I’m also curious about what it’s “supposed” to look like.
Was planning on using it in my 56. AMT is usually pretty good about their part’s being accurate… but there’s alway’s an exeption to that rule.
I don’t know what the air box looks like either, ‘course I never saw an engine mounted on the roof either. So I’ll just keep watchin’ to see how this plays out.

Wow!AMT really dropped the ball!To be fair the instructions do name it as a custom option.Never represent it as a factory option.

This it is an older tool.so the exhaust is molded into the chassis.some touch up is needed but not too bad! 
You may want to paint the fuel tank steel.
