Once upon a time I made some by cutting sewing pins and slicing a rubber band real thin and steching it our a little on a large eraser and sticking the “rounds” through the rubber band. I used them on a B-25 top turrent and wanted them to be flexible so the guns could still elevate. The rubber band deteriorated over a period of years. I need to dig it out and see whats left.
There are photo-etch ammo belts for .30 and .50 cal by various manufacturers, also, I’ve read/seen where small size zip ties were used as the flexible feed chutes for mini guns and the like for 1/48 and 1/72. Hope this helps you get started.
