Americas new Torpedo Bomber, from 60 years ago.

Well I was sitting in my basement, working on my Lady Be Good, and for a while I had been eyeing a Monogram Spitfire, that I had built a while ago and just could not think of anything to do with, mainly becasue it had a huge gap at the back of the wing root where the feusalage meets the wing underneath the airplane. It could not be fixed really so I gave up on it and never airbrushed it. So today, I had been thinking about creating my own airplane, and then I saw my Spit. Well I got to work imeadiatly with a hazy plan, that had it with a gun emplacement in the back, and bombracks with a torpedo rack underneath it and at that point that was about it.

The full and almost finalized points of reconstruction are.
A B-24D propeler with an F-190 hub, and a 20 mill cannon in the center.
A twin 50 cal gunning emplacement in the rear with a large canopy.
P-51D tail wings.
P-38 main landing gear.
1 50 cal gun on side of nose.
have not decided what wings Ill use yet.
new engine.

Have feusalage modifyed and working on rear gunning emplacement.
It will be a navy torpedo bomber/ Dive bomber.

Now this may sound similar to Gunnys Spit but there are alot of differences, like the fact mine is a navy aircraft for the usa.

Vintage Aircraft

hey i think we should start some kind of build where people should take spitfire bodies and turn them into divebombers of some sort.[:P][;)] from what you say it sounds like its going to look pretty cool.

It will certainly be different.[:D][;)][8D]

i gotta see these pics. this sounds interesting.
