Thanks a lot! That’s very cool, and in color no less.

Thats very interesting. I like how they put the prop on the nose for security.[:)]
Thanks for sharing.
Hi all!!!
I find this very interesting.I have one question.
Why was this not used in the war??? Maybe it was, but,I have not heard of it.
Thanks for the post!!!
GREAT video!!!
OK,another question. What were the first US jets actually used in combat???
George, I believe the performance was a bit sub-standard. I seem to recall that its performance was no improvement over the latest prop-driven fighters.
As for your other question, I’m gonna say either Navy Panthers or Air Force F-80s, in either case, in combat during the Korean war. I’m sure somebody will be along to confirm or correct, lol.

Nice passenger seat [:D]
Thanxs for the video.
I could be wrong but as far as I know, the USAAF had P-80 shooting stars in europe during the end of the war but too late to see combat. I’ve seen a pic of them being towed around somewhere in europe. I could be wrong though.
I’ve got the revell kit of the F-80, I’m planning on building like a WWII fighter based in england. Not sure of which exact markings yet.
There is a great article in FSM, prolly around '88 or '89, in which the great Bob Steinbrun back-dates the Monogram F-80 into the P-80 WWII model. Of course, he turns out a stunning airplane. I’m sure the article is available in the FSM index and would be worth looking for if you’re planning a build like that.

Great video thanks, I imagine you could have built of few of those for the price of one F-22.
That sounds pretty cool, I looked through the index and I found that he wrote an article in jan 89 but it doesnt say what it is, and I’m not sure waht to do beyond that so if you know how to find it feel free to tell how…
Oh man, I thought the index could link one to the article. That would be too easy though wouldn’t it? Yeah, all it does it tell which issue to look for. I have that issue and if my scanner was working, I would gladly scan the article and send it to you. Lemme see what I can do…
