American vs British radio equipment

I am currently putting together a Tomahawk MkII B that was flown by the RAFs 112 squadron in North Africa. I’ve read that these particular planes retained the American radio equipment, as opposed to the MkII A’s that replaced the American equipment with British radios. Does anybody know if the use of one or the other led to any external differences with the aircraft?

AirApache345,

For the reading I have done, I can tell you that it depends on exactly which plane you are refering to, I know an old WWII gunner that flew in a B-17 and he (along with others) have told me on equipment such a a radio it depended on what the squadron received. With that said the photos I have found from the MkII B’s seem to have American Equipment inside, and I can’t see much difference in external differences, the only differences will be the internal radio, the antenna’s will be the same.

Good deal. Thanks for the info
