Right now I have
an m3a2 halftrack
figure sets (quite a few)
M3 stuart
weathering a few models
…
here’s my WIP list:
- 1/35 dragon BRDM partially painted & built
- 1/35 tamiya walker bulldog (detail & figure need paint)
- 1/72 hasegawa churchill (needs details painted & added)
- 1/72 hasegawa stuart ( same as above, plus trax)
- 1/72 revell marder 1a3 (about 2/3rds assembly complete)
- 1/72 pst kv-t tow tractor (needs details added)
all of these r temporarily on hold while i work on 2 group build projects:
dio base 4 my ersatz m10 (panther group build)
m4 conversion to m32 recovery vehicle (sherman group build)
i also have a honda civic, a couple of subway cars w/ scratchbuilt interiors, & 3 or 4 structures ( 4 my n scale model railroad) in various stages of completion.
i know that’s a lot of stuff, but a lot of it is really just about done, i just enjoy
adding details 2 kits…
believe it or not, i actually do finish building things once in awhile… [;)]
LOL !

hello frostygirl!
hello back atcha !
so what aren’t u working on ?
LOL !
[:D]
hahaha, a lot! finished my m41 though
am finishing my unimog and m113a1 acav right now.
Seeing that this is becoming the model version of Al Anon:[:D] Here is my incomplete list:M109 Paladin , has needed weathering for around a year now !M110 Spg , my first attmpt at airbrush camo ( very nasty I must say and the colors are not even close to correct) time to strip and redo it !SdKfz 251/1 finally got my feild app striping down so I repainted it too , needs weathering!Tuach Panzer 3 ,Needs details and weathering ( and dio base )Panther ausf D everytime I look at it I want to fix something else ( looking at all of the awesome builds on this site makes me want to do that !)Karl gerat Mortar, needs weathering and some details. And now I am ordering for yet another kit , and will probably join in the gun build too ![;)][B)][:0] Becoming like my Father here , a freind of mine once came over to our home and looked in the garage at all my dads dismantled vehicles, machinery, boat motors etc ( my dad thought he could fix anything himself , yet could never seem to pull it off !) anyways my friend saw that and said , WOW!.. your dad is really into taking s@#$ apart and not putting it back together isn’t he ?
Builds in progress? OH Yeah! The M4 composite hull for the Sherman build, Patton’s Patton, just for fun… 1/6 scale Stuart detailing (interior etc)… M108 SPH … M3 half track… M1IP Abrams, 1/23 Sopwith Camel (Ruston’s 1000th plane color scheme). Dozens of unmade kits, tanks, artillery, aircraft, sci-fi… Pounding out a full scale harness of plate armor just for S’s & G’s.
It’s tough sometimes to keep a single build going. Maybe it’s because of being interested in so many things at once, or lack of ‘stick-to-it-ness’… Who cares. Lots to do all the time!
Ron
right now, I have to do the figs for my bren carrier and it will be done.
have to finish the tracks for my 72 revell m1a1
got my m10 on the desk right now.
and I have a half finished destroyer sitting in the closet.
6 more unbuilt in the closet plus several sets of guys and accessories, round out my collection.
I have about 8 builds on the table going:
Three 1/72 scale PST captured KV’s in German Markings
Two 1/72 scale Revell/Germany Cromwells-one British, one Israeli
One 1/72 scale Revell/Germany Merkava III
Two 1/72 scale Su 7 Fitters.
After that, I’m probably going to take a break from Armor and Aircraft and get my shipyards started on about for ships that have been calling my name. [;)][:D]
Wow! Glad I’m not the only one. lol
I’ve got:
1/35:
Tamiya Panther A for the build
DML Firefly Vc for the build
Tamiya Tiger I Mid for the build that ended two or three months ago. I finally got the MK tracks in. The PE was driving me nuts, so I put it aside for a while.
DML Elefant put aside for all the group builds
Tamiya old motorized King Tiger - who knows if this will ever be finished. Been a “test bed” for techniques lately, but I do have a Royal PE set for it!
Tamiya Marder IIIM. All I’ve done is glue the basic hull together just because I wanted to see what a state of the art Tamiya build was like! lol
DML E-100. Hull is glued up. Put aside until I get some of these other things done.
1/72:
DML Elefant. Waiting for the decals.
DML JagdPanther. Just getting started on this one.
Revell Pz IV. Waiting for time and the courage to re-make the shurtzen with Parts PE.
ESCI Jadgpanzer IV. Waiting decals. (I hated this kit!)
Hasegawa Stewart. Ready to put the 3rd camo color on it. Going to use the Silly Putty method.
Italeri King Tiger. Waiting for a load of Dunkelgelb in the airbrush for the 3rd level of camo.
Tamiya P-51D. This is finished, but I’ve got to get “smart” enough to know how to do a natural metal finish and not have it look like crap!
Other scales:
Several 1/48 aircraft that I’ve done such major work as spraying the interior silver and gone no further. (Hey, it’s a wingy thingy. Who cares if they sit for 5 or 10 years!! lol)
Heller 1/200 Golden Hind. I’m at the point of stepping the masts and starting the rigging. This thing took close to a year and a half just to paint the features on the hull! What fun. I put it aside because I got interested in armor! (Good choice!!)
I’m sure there are more that I can’t recall at the moment. But I’m not sitting at home looking at my kits!
I think the reason I do this to myself is that I get all hyped up about a kit and what it will look like when I finish it. Then I get in and start it and get frustrated that it isn’t going together just the way I’d like, so “put it away” until my frustration level goes down and I learn enough to get it the way I’d like it. So far, I’m still trying to get to the “learned enough” level!!
Have fun, fellow modelers!
Now that’s a list Bill !
Yeah, well, you should see my “not started” list!! lol
Bill
Man… almost embarrassed to reply to this one…
Current projects that have yet to be completed:
Hasegawa F-4 Phantom II “Showtime 100” (Humidity levels too high so now I have to strip some paint)
1/35 Challenger II (fairly close to being done)
1/48 Hawagawa A10 Warthog (I shot the camo on)
1/35 Tiger (need to install 2 or 3 last pieces and build a nice display base for it)
1/16 Tiger I full option(muddling my way thru it… work has limited time to work on it)
In the process of moving back to the states from Oki, so here’s what was “in progress” when the movers came;
1/35 Tamiya M-2 Bradley (old version)
1/35 Italeri 5-ton (converting to a guntruck with miniguns, mk-19 and .50 cals)
1/35 Tamiya M16 (quad .50s)
1/35 Tamiya Dragon Wagon (subassemblies complete, just needs paint & assembly)
1/35 Tamiya Panzer IV (finish camo pattern)
and let’s not talk about the closet of kits I’ve collected…
