The recommended MM thinner is not easy to find at hobby stores; what can I used instead? The Flat Clear paint is from the “Akryl” brand.
I use a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water to thin the Acryl paints. It should work fine for the clear also I would think.

Thanks but why do you feel it’s necessary to add water to the alcohol? What’s wrong with pure alcohol?
Sometimes straight alcohol makes the paint dry too fast and that is why I use water along with it.
You can try straight isopropyl alcohol if you like and if it works then that’s great. [;)]
Let us know what you discover.

Very well, I will use your thinner mixture and spray the flat clear on a smooth, black-colored wooden block. If there are any problems I will spot them before I try on the model.
Good idea Mark.
Testing on something other than your model is always a good idea.

Thanks Mike, I just finished airbrushing and everything is fine. The model is looking very good.
Great news Mark. [tup]
Now you know where to get a cheap thinner. [;)]
