ok guys, heres my freshly painted K1A1. I haven’t built models for awhile, so has taken forever to get this far.
I have to re-learn weathering, so I haven’t started yet…more pics to come. I did build a fuel can rack on the rear plate, and am working on tarps.

It looks great so far, especially love the camo(very interesting, plus very nicely done)![Y]Can’t wait to see it all finished up.
By the way, this is the Academy kit, right?

Yeah, its the Academy kit. The fit was great , but I forgot to paint the small parts during the painting session.
Thanks on the camo, it was very difficult to get the pattern right. It only took me 2 try’s on the side plates!!
I need to spray it w/ buff overall, kinda blend the colors together, then add the washes.

Hey Jeff,
Your camo work is superb. [:D[ Was this masked or freehand?

I airbrushed it freehand, after drawing in the camo pattern w/ a pencil.
Its not completely accurate, but pics show many variations

Here 's the tank post weathering…

please note the modified 50 !!! the addition of the flash hider was tricky, and I was very happy w. the results

Any suggestions are welcome, enjoy the pics…I am still working on the small flags mounted near the mg…
wow the weathering made it look like a real tank! good job!

Thanks everyone…I was prety bummed thinking that I’d overdone the weathering, but after it dried, it mellowed out.
I am going to add ropes on the fuel cans, and find some carbon rods for the arials…I tried stretching the sprue…not a good try!!
