Looking good!
Very nice.
great job. very real looking. i was thinking of building that kit myself and now that i hear its good, i might just get it. thanks.
great lookin build chris! i like the subtle weathering youve done on the kit. it came out nice. are you going to paint the raod wheels? or were they metal? i dont know. could you talk bout it a little?
[:D] great job, very nice work. did you have a problem with the treads? the ones i got in my kit where brittel and when i tested them they broke in half,so i have to wait for a new set from tamiya,[:(].oh well your kit looks great.[:D]
Thanks for the kind comments guys.
The road wheels on the Churchill were indeed all metal. I’ve still got a few items to add, like tools & tow cables.
The whole tank was painted Revell Gelb Oliv & then sprayed with Humbrol Matt Earth around the sides, front & rear.
Glad you like it! :o)
Hi gdarwin,
My right side track did snap in one place, but I stapled it together again & is not visible behind the side skirt.
Chris
[:D] so this is not a new problem,if i dont get the tracks soon i will do the same thing you did. thanks [:D]
Very nice job!!
Very nicely done Chris. I sure hope I don’t have track problems, I’ve had mine about 7yrs. I have seen a number of my Tamiya builds have track failure over time though. You’ve done a superb job with the weathering. Semper Fi, mike
I didn’t realize they were all metal wheels, that makes things easier. Nice looks Churchill. Does the name on the side stand for anything?
It’s a mountain in Scotland. There’s a local connection with the unit.
I did the same kit, Chris. Mine went together really well. I didn’t have any troubles with my tracks, other than making a mess of the painting. Yours looks great. Very nice, subtle weathering.[tup][tup]
Thanks guys!
My Churchill wasn’t painted that well until the other day, when all I did was spray on some Matt Earth. Amazing how it brings it to life! It brings out a lot of raised detail, which the Churchill is great for.
