i’ve never heard of any of those companys,what does thier stuff compare to,fit wise,detail etc…?
The only ones I am familiar with are the Yak-9’s, P-51A’s and B’s. The P-51A seems to be an Accurate Miniature Fuselage and Tamiya wing (I could be wrong); the P-51B is pretty much “Tamiya” except for the cockpit. I have also seen reviews of there soon to be re-released P-51D and from what I understand it’s another Tamiya copy. You can find reviews of most of them on the internet.

Has anyone here done business with Alanger in the past? If so, I’d be interested in hearing how their experience went. The reason I mention this is because, although I have no direct experience, I have heard others on another forum complaining that they haven’t received the kits they paid for months ago.

Yes Alanger sells ICM kits and you will definitely save money; I didn’t pay more $7.00 (ea) for the 3 I had bought.
As you I have had 0 experience in dealing with said co until now. I sure hope what you’ve heard does not come to fruition with my or anyone elses orders.

I’ve ordered twice from him and the experiences were 180 degrees opposite of each other. The first order showed up in about 8 to 10 days which is ok and everything was fine, I got everything I ordered. My second order took 3.5 months to get semi-straightened out. I ordered stuff on sale the second time also and eventually ended up getting only half of my order. I had ordered two armored cars and the sale price equalled the regular price for one kit, which is what I eventually got around the end of February, first of March 2006 after ordering on the 22nd of November 2005. I had to get Pay-Pal involved. He doesn’t answer his phone or return calls and his e-mails consist of asking you “You didn’t receive your order?” Then telling you he will ship it out next Tuesday but not telling you if it’s the next Tuesday following your e-mails or the next Tuesday he feels like shipping it out. If you buy from him use Pay-Pal because you can get your money back if he stiffs you. I gave him 30 days before I lodged a complaint and requested return of my money which took 10 days but I did get it.
