hi guys been a tad busy lately but finally found a little time to get some of these half done models i have sitting on the bench, here is the pz II c im calling it done for now but it needs a bit of stowage which i will add later (yea right!) anyways heres the pics feel free to comment good or bad and thanks for looking.
[:O][wow]That looks great. Are you sure you just didn’t take a pic of one because that looks really good!
hey ron[:D]— the P II is yet another beauty for your stable— by my count you may have already built a battalion or 2— [swg]-- i like the shot of the right side where the group numbers fade — really great weathering[tup][tup]— super work as always — treadwell[:P]
D[B)]#N!
[tup] Here we go again.
I’m gettin’ dizzy [:O] with all these biffy tanks shootin’ by.
[%-)] Kinda feel like the matrix (movie) where all those
bullets were whizzing past.
[:P] You’ve got the finish nailed.
[2c] You’ve got some of the best(if not THE best) lookin’
tanks on the forum.
Steve
Nice work, Ron! What are the fit quality of the parts like? I’ve been considerin’ their Panzer II Ausf J. kit!
Great job! This is one of my favorite kits. Looks like you hit the fenders perfectly. I always had trouble with them. Nice finish.
2 down and 1 to go on the bench clearing exercise if I remember correctly? Keep that factory humming! [tup]
Nice work Ron.
I think the top turret portion needs to be more dusty since crew are going back and forth to that particullar area.
Now, beside the kick a55 weathering, what do you think about the kit it self ? Any problems with building that particular brand ? I notice that on close up, the tracks does not look very nice interm of detail.
Ben
Nice one Ron. another fine job.
Regards,
Terry.
Another great one Ron! It’s a real beauty! I just love those the look of those old panzers [tup]
Looks great! Something different than a Tiger and Panther… Good weathering!
Yet another outstanding build… Quality and Quantity…how does he do it? [:O]
When you are finished wading through your well-deserved truck-load of praise and admiration, please tell us a little about the kit. Does it come with the screen over the exhaust, or is that AM / spare parts box? How was the parts fit? Any major alterations?
hey guys, thanks for the replys let me try answer a few questions sorry havent replied sooner but busy trying to get a job finished up before thanksgiving and things at home on top of that, so anyway about the kit, well depending on who you talk to some say its worthless others think its decent me i thought it was decent but sometimes i think my standards are a little lower than others, its a typical russian kit and takes a little more effort in the cleanup department with flash and sinkholes ect, and the fit is a little finicky in places but still very buildable with a bit of extra care the worst thing about it as carves pointed out is the tracks being a tad flat in detail but still look better than rubber bandies in my opinion, and the kit does include the pe exhaust screen , all in all if your looking for dragon detail and tamiya fit you probably wont enjoy this kit but if you dont mind a bit of extra work in clean up and fit with a little filling required then it can be a fun build which from my experience is average for most alan kits and i was happy with the finished look. to me it looks like a pz II c.
bill this is #2 finished in the stash cleanup coming up soon (in the final weathering stages)
the tamiya m4a3 “105”
the tamiya sturmtiger
i have the wirbelwind built but not painted and as a special treat a couple of weeks ago i bought the char b1 bis on ebay for a great deal, got it for $44 shipped and illl tell you what, it is the best kit i have ever built, talk about nice this thing goes together like a dream and the tracks ,oh, man the tracks i took it out of the box one night to look it over and started fiddling around with it and before i knew what happened it was done, i was blown away by the quality of this kit and highly recommend it incidently this is the most i ever spent on a single model but it was worth it just for the experience of it. enough of my jabber if i didnt answer your question ask again im kinda brain dead just got in from work heh.
Hey Ron, thanks for the info regarding your Panzer II.
I thought that a little bit of flash should be ok, but sink holes are nasty from my point of view since you either them down, or you fill them with putty.
I looked at your Panzer II build from a distance, and from about 2 feet away from my computer, the tracks looks ok thou [:-^]
