I am about to start my Lancaster BIII (Special) of 617 Squadron (Airfix) and was wondering if there are any pitfalls I should be aware of?
Also I want to build her as on taxiing out so I need a crew. Those little humanoids that purport to be the crew, while an improvement, are terrible and incorrect. as far as I know Gibson flew the raid in shirtsleeves and used fighter type intercom/air to air coms
not the usual bomber combined O2/radio mask due to the fact that he had a carbuncle
on his face. I have a photo of the crew boarding the a/c and want to portray the crew in this garb. Do Hannants have anything suitable?
