Too bad that there wasn’t a Tomcat that could have been added to the Grumman lineup.
Steve
I drove by the EAA grounds/hangers and they have a F4U-Corsair with its wings folded and the Me-262 sitting on the tarmac.
I believe the 262 is going to be on display there at the EAA museum for a few weeks. Worth a drive to see it!
You and me both! There were plenty of each in attendance but those dang cowlings stayed on the whole time.
Yeah, that is a factor. If I get real serious about it, I could always just use the plans to scratch-make parts out of better balsa.
there’s grades of balsa?!
You can flood my pm with P-47 and f4u picks. You can’t get me enough and all the medium bombers you can get.
Ps
More of that F7F please…
I… assume so? At the very least, I could cherry-pick the best sheets from the hobby shop I guess.
Sounds like you need to make a trip to the Fagen Fighters Museum.
But I do have some more photos to post, once I get to 'em.
Doubt I will ever find myself intentionally and purposefully in Granite falls,Mn..
