My latest is a kit I’d never before built, the Hawker Sea Fury.

This was another mostly trouble-free build, although I did have a problem with the outer wings. I was not able to get the upper wing to meet flush with the inner wing. I have no idea what I did wrong there. Of course the inner wing was already completed and had set for a day or so before I started adding the outer wings, so there really wasn’t anything I could do about it that would not require major plastisurgery. If I ever build another one of these, I’ll pay more attention to this part of the build.
Paints are mostly AK Interactive 3G acrylics, although there is also Tamiya and AK Interactive Xtreme Metal in there. I’ve used the 3G on previous builds - the 1/24 Typhoon I did earlier this year, for instance - but I don’t recall having the problem with them that I had on the Sea Fury. I could not get them to spray cleanly through my Iwata Revolution CR or Hi-Line BH with my normal thinning ratios. The paint kept spattering badly. So I ended up over-thinning it just to get it to spray evenly, but I was not at all impressed with the coverage on the canopy framing. The best way I can describe the paint is translucent. I scraped the paint away and re-did it, less thin than before, and was satisfied with the appearance.
