Let me take a look through my pics of the cockpit and see if I can answer that question. I have all my pics on a different computer that’s at my bench in my bedroom. I would assume they are labeled. I’ve been in the cockpit on start up to, and just never paid attention, lol.
Okay, I went through my pics and found a few of the cockpit instrument panel. Hopefully these help answer your question.
Once again seems I can’t thank you enough!
And hopefully these are a good resource for others to. Interesting so much black in the cockpit. I can see hints of green. I wonder if everything was sprayed over black at a later date or if the greens flaked off the top.

Not a problem, glad I can help! Anything else you need feel free to let me know! Everything behind the cockpit is green. Great work so far by the way![:D]
Been a while since an update but thought I would finalise this thread. I’ve had 12 months of being exceptionally busy and had no time to fit in any modelling. the last couple of months I have endeavoured to finish this project.
I ended up pushing towards a more accurate version of the Belle rather then the movie version. when I was applying the decals the ‘Memphis Belle’ movie script on the nose bothered me so I changed direction. the conversion from a B17 G went well overall. the tailgunners position I made just too short and the windows in the top of the nose are more correct for the movie version Belle, not the real aircraft but are close. This is to be a gift so the minor discrepancies are of little concern and hopefully the build captures the spirit of the prototype.
The model is wired so all props turn, individual switches for each engine are at the bottom of the frame work. Being my second aircraft build in many years hopefully you guys don’t find the build to bad.
awesome B-17 . the camo is [Y]
Excellent work. The camo looks spot on. Well done.

Beautiful Belle! I must admire also the conversion of the G to F.
Thanks! The conversion went well but unsure if I would tackle it again. In saying that the airfix model is really great in many aspects so I feel it was worth the effort.
And thanks guys for the input on the camo. Finding enough photos of the prototype to copy was a challenge!
Cheers,
Josh
