I just got back from a business trip in Europe. I was in London for a few days and was able to take advantage of Airfix and Revell prices at a reasonable rate. Time constraints limited me in making the trek to Hannants, but I did make it to Model Zone in central London. Many of the kits were on sale.
For my boys I picked up two 1:100 P-47D’s of Eagleston’s bird. At least I thought I had two. After careful review as I was handing one to my youngest boy I noticed the markings in the fine print were different than the other box. Much to my dismay and my wife’s hilarious reaction, the nose art had a detailed naked lady for Frederick Christensen’s P-47. [:$]
I commented to the store clerk it was nice seeing a model shop in town, but he said many shops have closed the past few years…sigh.
