Hello everyone. I am making the above and in following the painting guide for the pilot I find I am having difficulty understanding which colours go where, especially to the back and sides where the contours on the pilot don’t seem to match those in the pictures and as a result it is difficult to determine what is what.

If anyone has some guidance or better still some pictures of their effort I would greatly appreciate any help that I can receive.

Welcome to the Forums!

Your best bet is to go to something like Google images and do a search for “RAF fighter pilot” or “Battle of Britain pilot.” You’ll find tons of useful images, and you can more easily compare and select for the particular look or details you’re after. Plus, you’re less likely to repeat somone else’s mistakes if you get the one slightly wrong image.
