Can you help I’ve tried twice to build this kit, And each time i’ve found the cockpit parts are to big, I think the fuselage is not long enough or deep enough, Is it just me or as anyone else had these problems, I’ve got another in my stash but really dont want to build without some advice on the matter, I’ve some thoughts as to help with the length problem, Thats if the fuselage is at fault , Any advice would be welcome.

If you think, it fits too badly don’t build it, it’s probably not worth the frustrations. Sorry I cant be of more help.
Try asking Swanny. I am sure that he would have an answer for you. OR try building the Tamiya Mossie.

hmm wierd, I dug around looking for reviews of the kit and all I could find was a “preview” of sorts and a few very short reviews. I did notice in all of the reviews that were there they used after market cockpits… maybe that would be the best solution?
Maybe someone will come along with a better answer but it might be your best bet for that last kit… although all I saw were cockpits for the Tamiya kit. not sure if there are others out there… I’ll look around for ya!

Welcome to the forums! I just noticed this was your second post! You’ll enjoy it here I think!
I built one a year or so ago. if I remember rightly, the top of the pilots seatback touched the canopy, an easy fix. The instrument panel may have been too tall too, again, a fairly easy fix. Some dry fitting & trimming should solve your problems. Other than that, and the need for filler at the rear of the landing gear fairings, it’s not a bad kit (cheaper than Tamiya!) and the end result is worth the effort.

A few minutes ago i dry fitted the old and new fuselage , And found it’s not deep enough and the length is out too, Not by much but enough to cause the first time modeller building his or her’s first twin problems, Cure I’ll keep you all posted , I still have two NF30’s to complete, and two more NF’s to build then my scarefix sorry airfix conversion .

I was going to suggest finding out which parts were too large, but most have beat me to it. I was also going to suggest thinning down fuselage sides a very small bit to aid in fitting parts.
My plan is to use the rear fuselage of the FB6 and mate the new nose section, But I’ll have to increase the depth of the forward section, Which means cutting the lower sections away and inserting plastic strip then re- asemble it, But will try and post photo’s of the build, And thank you everyone.
