Aircraft Identification...

I have 3 images that my in-law gave me to reference off of. After several postings on the site, I am wondering if the images are of the A-26 or A-20. Is there a place for me to post the images for experienced readers to tell me what kit to get to build.

A simple way to tell the two aircraft apart is the cockpit configuration. The A-20 Havoc has a single place cockpit and a single place radio operators position. The A-26 Invader has a two seat side by side cockpit and has a gun turret between the front and rear crew compartments. Also the A-20 has rounded wing tips and tail whereas the A-26 has squared wing tips and tail. As far as kits in 1/48 scale, Monogram/Revell made two variants of the A-26, AMT/Ertl made 3 variants of the A-20.Both of these kits are currently out of production but you can still find them with a little digging around on-line.

KJ, are you looking for a site where you can host the images?

Well… Bigfoot, the config you provided is correct however, my in-law tells me otherwise. I believe the images are of the A-20 Havoc, BUT seeing that he flew them, I can be wrong. Or his memories are going…

The pictures I have on hand is vague. However, I do see what appears to be a tandem configuration. The nose has 4 mnounted 30 and 2 side 50 caliber guns. Atleast, I think they are.

Yes Bayonet Recon, I either want to post the images for viewing or send it to someone to identify.

KJ if you can e-mail the pictures to me I will identify them for you, that is my specialty
