Aircraft Identification

Shoot, i’m trying to find an aircraft that I believe I saw on here.

It’s a single engine prop(might have been turbo prop) aircraft with a very long nose. I thought it was German WWII era and I think it was a mid-wing. It looked a lot like the Pilatus PC-6, which is actually the aircraft I want but it doesnt appear anyone makes a kit of the Pilatus PC-6 so i’m trying to find this other aircraft instead. Anyone know if I can find a Pilatus PC-6 or this other aircraft?

Thanks for the help. I know this is terribly vague.

Hope this help:

Thanks for the links… yes that’s pretty close. I guess I was hoping for a 1/32 pilatus. Any idea what the other kit is?

I’m thinking that the WWII German equivalent (which looks rather similar) would be the Fieseler Storch, which is available in 1/32 from Hasegawa.

Tamiya has recently released a (reportedly) very nice rendition in 1/48th scale. http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=61100

Man that is soooo close to what i’m thinking but that’s not the aircraft. Maybe it is french or italian. It almost looks like a crop duster. Gaaa this is driving me insane… i’m looking throug thousands of ebay models right now. I know it’s an older aircraft WWII era-vietnam era

woah i think this is it…

what is this aircraft called?

Sure looks like this EKW-3603, courtesy of dogsbody,

Which was mentioned in the Indiana Jones thread a few days ago:

omg cardshark, you are a godsend, that is exactly it!! I suppose they don’t make a model of this kit?

There’s a 1/72 resin kit of the C-36:

As for the PC-6, there is a very expensive 1/48 resin kit:

and the injected 1/72 High Planes kit:

That’s about it though…

HTH!

Thats cool that High Planes has a AU-23 in 1/72. Are they any good though?

My problem is my collection is almost entirely 1/32 and 1/35’th scale. I like em big and the models are easy to build and fun to play with and display. Downside is the avialability of kits in this scale are pretty rare in aircraft, less rare in armor. If Ii want the Pilatus i’ll have to scratch build I guess.

and thank you cardshark for your help on this.

One last question, anyone know where you can find that P-51/Cavalier III resin conversion which turns a D model P-51 into a a turboprop mustang? I know I saw one on ebay, now i can’t find it.
