Aircraft Factory Ready for Decals

Lodni-k, that is great! I look forward to seeing pics of your aircraft.

Chris, if I can get ahold of another one, you’re on. It might be awhile though.

No probs mate…

overall it’s great…but aren’t the darker grey shades in your f15 a little too dark?

I said the same thing… But if you go back and read what was discussed, you will understand his reasons… Great model it will be, none the less! Must be time for some update pics Duke???

Boy, I sure am tempted to start that F-15J!! But I don’t want to get it built up & have to get it packed for NAS Fallon! - Calvin

Yes Chris you’re right, it is about time for update pics. [:I] I have to get a couple more things done, and then I’ll have them. I love the camo pattern on your F-4 Phantom in your sig! I might have to try and get another Phantom and match it. Oh man, I need a job!!!

Calvin, wait till you get there. I want to see pics of when it’s done.

Oh, and Chris, I found a two-seat F-104 Starfighter in my stash; I’m considering making that one JASDF as well.

Hobby Room is almost ‘clean’ and ready to work in. I even got the decals on the Me262A. I’ll get the pics posted as soon as I can.

Yes, the shiny silver F-104… I have recently completed my JASDF F-86 Sabre… I did it in the silver scheme… But for some reason, i have never been all that keen on F-104’s… It has always reminded me of a really badly designed misile with retardedly small funky wings, just stuck on it… I simply dont know how they actually could fly?

Anyways, if you do go with the JASDF scheme, I am sure it will turn out great… As for me, I have started another F-4EJ… This will be my second attempt at the Okinawa bird… My favourite of all Japanese Aircraft!

As for me… Both my wife and I both work… But because my family is in Australia, and I used to live in Atlanta, we always take a big trip every year… So my wife has me on the no money scheme aswell… So I said to her, that she has to atleast give me a few dollars a day, just so I can get a drink or something… So she does… I then save my daily allowance, and then it goes into models… The wife is none the wiser!.. Plus I lose weight, as I dont drink soda anymore, and now alot of water!

Well done Chris! Usually, when I have a job, I tell my wife I need about $70.00 for the week to cover gas and lunch at work. I then skim $20. 00 off and hide3 it in my stash. When I get about $150-$200 built up, I go on a spending spree at the LHS; unless I’m trying to save for something bigger. My ‘stash’ got us the dishwasher for Christmas last year, since the wife refused to buy one for more than 12 years. THAT took awhile to save for!

I also have a model of an F-86 with Japanese decals. I’ll probably get that one started sometime in the future. It depends on how much silver/aluminum paint I have!

Update on the construction. I got the decals on my P-39, and my Me262A, which promptly turned yellow. But I already dullcoated it, so I’m leaving them on. When the sun comes out again, I’ll leave the model under a fan in the sun to try and bleach the decals again.

Since the decals on the F-15 are so extensive, I’m going to put them on in stages. I’ll apply them to one part, seal them, move onto another part of the aircraft, seal that part when they dry, and so forth. This is going to be the first time that it takes me more than a day to apply decals to a model!

I also started a new model: PM Model’s Su 21 Flagon. It’s a pretty fast and easy build and is going together pretty well. In the LEM Forums, Dan (boybuddho) has been building a model a day so I thought I’d try a ‘speed-build’ like he has been doing. Gonna paint it today.
