Airbrush won't spray, It can't be any cleaner!

I have the Paasche VL double action siphon fed airbrush. Scorpion 1 compressor 40 PSI. Paint will not spray and I have cleaned it several times. It couldn’t be any cleaner! Any ideas? Thanks

Do you feel air comming out the end? If not, or very little there might be a hold in the hose.

Just a guess.

What tools did you use to clean with? No matter how clean you think you got it the tip can still be clogged. its a pain but only thing that really needs to be cleaned on any ab is the needle, nozzle and tip. Check those 3 again. If you have an ab cleaning kit use your smallest brush in that set to ream (carefully) the nozzle

[#ditto] comments about the nozzle. Most non spray problems can be traced to it. Might consider field stripping the airbrush and soaking all parts overnight in lacquer thinner. As far as the nozzle, a small dental brush pushed through it might clear it. Sometimes, what appears to be clean is not hence the need for additional cleaning.

You either have a paint or air blockage (obvious but true). If you have airflow then the problem is in the paint area. If you don’t have airflow the problem is in the air area.

Take the tip out and look through it. If you can’t see light through it then it is plugged. There should be a group of holes around the nozzle (at least Badgers have them). Make sure all of those holes are unobstructed (run a thin piece of wire through them if necessary). Make sure the vent hole inthe pain cap is not plugged or covered by the seal in the cap. Disconnect the airhose from the airbrush and make sure you have airflow there.

DITTO To All The Above…
If it is paint flow problem take the siphon hose out of the paint jar and tilt the airbrush whilst spraying,… this works for me !!!
Good Luck

Ahem-there is a tool called a “reamer” available but use it carefully and soak your nozzle parts in acetone (be careful) overnight. Why am i blushing?

Another thing. Are you using a color cup or a bottle? If it’s a bottle, make sure you have airflow into the bottle and the hole on top is clear.

One way to get real stubborn dried paint out is to use an ultra-sonic cleaner, (available from Micro Mark). This would be a bit pricey if this were the only thing that you used the cleaner for, but they can be used for cleaning all kinds of things.

Um check if there is a bad O-ring in the air assembly. This happened with my Badger 100 single action, O-ring got stretched and moved around on me.

[#ditto] the o-ring, hope its just air or paint but…
