I am deciding between what airbrushes to buy.

I am deciding between:

Iwata Neo siphon or gravity feed

Badger 105 or 155 or both

Badger 150

Iwata Evolution siphon or gravity feed

I will use it for 1/144 and 1/100 Gundam kits, Star Wars kits, and later 1/72 and 1/100 plane kits.

Don’t want to spend lots of money right now.

I had the Badger 150 long time ago as first airbrush and it work well for me.

Now I have learned about gravity feed airbrushes.

Which will be good to have first? Or should I get the Badger 155/105 set? By both Iwata Neo types? Buy the Nadget 150 and a gravity feed brush?

A gravity feed is much easier to clean. I have a Badger 105 Patriot and I like it very much, but you really hafta practice to get a pencil-thin line with it.

But I have a NEO gravity feed, and like it. Can get at Hobby Lobby for around $50 with their 40% off coupon.

I have had all of the airbrushes you mention, my current favorites are the Badger 100G with small gravity cup, and the 100LG, same airbrush but with the larger cup. Simple, durable and so easy to clean, they perform very well.

By all means, do spend some time at “Don’s Airbrush Website,” as was mentioned above. A wealth of good solid information, and thorough reviews of many airbrushes. Good luck with your search.

I’ve always had the best luck with Iwata having owned a few differnet brands. Right now I use a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS gravity feed airbrush and wouldn’t trade it for anything

I read the site and I think gravity feed is good to have.

It is just to buy low priced one and get one that you can change out needles or get two different brushes, get little more expensive.

The badger I had I used the side cup. I didn’t know about the different types of airbrushed, siphon, gravity feed.

It was fine for me for what I knew. That’s why I am wondering low priced brush, little expensive, one brush or two

Have never had a problem with it. Not sure if they still sell it a hobby lobby but if they do it’s a good price with the 40% off coupon
