I need to tint some bare metal foil. Can I thin an enamel enough so it’ll stick to the metal? I think an Acrylic will bead up on metal. I assume I’d just clean the enamel out so I can use acrylic again. Sooo… i’m also wondering if there;s any out there who has an old, but decent, airbrush they’d like to sell, preferably with a quiet compressor? It can be single action. Thx

I have yet to get any paint to stick to bare foil very well, What I do is coat it with Future floor polish which sticks to the foil very well, then paint over the future, acrylic, enamel, what ever, even water colors. Now to tint the foil may I suggest tinting the future with the acrylic color of choice then applying it to the foil. I have never tried this but see no reason why it wouldn’t work for ya.
