Airbrush compressor - power usage?

Hey there

Just received my KMS AS186 airbrush. I’m wondering though what wattage do they run at, I can’t find any info online and the manual doesn’t include that?

My mother is concerned (unnecessarily I think) about the electric bill…

The compressor is 1/6hp. That converts to about 124 watts, a little more than a 100 w light bulb.

I doubt whether she will notice it on the electric bill.

Thanks. I doubt she’ll notice it either, but she’s a bit “technically challenged” and so obviously her first question was “what wattage is that, how much will it cost!!”.

You also have to consider that the compressor will only be on a few minutes a day. And probably not everyday! Very unlike a light bulb.

The above is an assumption for a “typical” modeler.
