Hi Everyone!
I am building a model of the Douglas DC-4 for my grandmother. She was born in france and has traveled back and forth from where we live now, Boston Ma, many times.
After some research I found out that the DC4 was used on the first of July 1946 as its maiden flight from NYC to Paris. I have found the minicraft kit in 1/144 and would like to know if anyone has built that kit and your opinions on it or other kits that may be better.
Also, help finding the correct decals for the Air France livrey would be great!

I have a Minicraft DC-4 model on my shelf but have not started it yet. If you don’t get any help with decals with this post, I suggest you post the question to the civil aircraft forum, right below this forum in the “model subjects” hierarchy, or the decals forum in the Tools and Techniques forums group. I know there are a number of small garage shop operations making civil airlines decal sets but not familiar with them all.

What do you think of the minicraft kit? Does it have raised or resessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, etc? I will try posting on other forum sections as well, so thanks for that tip!
