Air France DC-4 decal Help

Hi Everyone!

I am building a model of the Douglas DC-4 for my grandmother. She was born in france and has traveled back and forth from where we live now, Boston Ma, many times.

After some research I found out that the DC4 was used on the first of July 1946 as its maiden flight from NYC to Paris. I have found the minicraft kit in 1/144 and would like to know if anyone has built that kit and your opinions on it or other kits that may be better.

Also, help finding the correct decals for the Air France livrey would be great!

Try DrawDecal. Don’t have their website URL at the moment, but do a google search. Don’t know if they have an Air France set, but they do kind of specialize in airliners.

i found more information. Right the first of july 1946 and the DC4 .

The DC4 name is “ciel île de france” .
