Air brush recommendations

I’m currently using a Passche H type air brush but I am considering upgrading. The Passche is kind of clumsy with the bottle hanging off the bottom, and clean up is a hassle. Can any one recommend, or give advice on what to look for in a new air brush?

You will find all the info you want on the painting and airbrushing forum.

My personal favorite is the versatile Iwata Eclispse series…affordable and versatile, especially if you buy both tips. Of course you can spend more and get top of the line stuff from Iwata, too.

JFB;

I’ve had good luck with the Badgers 200, 155 Anthem, and 150G alll of which are pretty good for the subjects I’ve done, but the best of those three would be the 155 it’s ease of cleaning is outstanding, I wish that Badger would convert all of their other A/B’s to that new design

I’ve had lots… aztec,badger etc. Some good, some bad.

I now use an Iwata and its the best I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend them enough, they are superb.[tup]

I have been using badgers for almost a year and I love them. I started out with Azteks and needless to say I had horible luck with them. Another bit of advise I’ll give you is, what ever airbruash you decide to get go to www.bearair.com I don’t think you will find better prices. I bought 2 badger dble-action airbrushes for 63.00 each after shipping and handeling.

I second the use of the Badger 200. I have three of them, for fine, medium and heavy spraying depending on what I am painting. This way I don’t have to change needles.

Bear Air Express no longer sells Iwata air brushes.

They aren’t cheap, but there is a company named SATA that makes automotive spray equipment for factories and collision shops, including air brushes. I have two, and love them! Here is the website:

They are made just like most German things: Heavy, precise, and they work wonderfully!
