I really enjoyed my first AFV Club kit.Intructions were good and clear and no hassles with assembly at all.I used Lifecolor paints.I also added some pieces from the Legends Stowage set.I also used AK Dust effects and liked the results.Thanks for looking and any comments.
Looks the part to me. Makes me want to pick one of these kits. Did you build it out of box besides the stowage? The weathering looks great and love the coke boxes. A Coke cola never tastes as good as it does in the field.
Love the dusty tyres, they really look the part.

One word of advice, though; be careful using deep blue as a photograph background with models. It does something weird with the white balance and can make your colors look unnatural. You’re better off if you can get a white or gray background.
The model looks well-finished and nicely detailed! Good stowage on that workhorse!

Doog,I thought I heard blue was the way to go,I have others so I will experiment,thanks,I think I should have shut off the flash for better results.
Anthony, it’s worth noting that all the major modeling magazines now ask for and require a white background to their photos—I dunno if that’s something to do with editing or what, but it also gives th truest color balance.
I think that a pale light blue is more pleasing in some ways than the sometimes-harshness of plain white, and certainly some things show up better against blue–such as a whitewashed tank–but a bright blue reflects light and alters the tone of the paint in certain lighting conditions. I stopped using blue a while ago for that reason even before the magazines changed. 
Most folks use a poster board purchased at Walmart. It is dark blue on one side and light (pale) blue on the other. I use the light blue side and it works wonders. I store it behind my file cabinet and drag it out for photographs (although I’ve become extremely lazy about taking pictures). I usually just prop it up in a curve, sometimes temporarily tacking it in place with masking tape on the backside.
Lousy photo of a kit I built in 1984-85 (my first brand new car was a 1984 Rabbit, this kit was a 1978 version), but it illustrates the use of the poster board.
BTW, nice job on the Stryker. I’ve started one, but have not finished it yet!
Thanks Rob,mine is actually a cheap photo tent,I take it ouside but leave the top off so sunlight comes in.It has different color clothes to use on the base.
very nice. i really like the weathering; it is not overdone. the extra storage adds to it. i built one w/o all the stowage. my only cooment is on the antenna. are they sprue? unless you are going very fast they wouldn’t bend like that. i use really thin wire. i have a dedicated pin vise and drill in to the mount. they stay straight, take abuse and keep judges from looking to close.
Thanks Wayne,no the antennas are wires from old Fruils Tracks,and they do run right thru the mount.I will bend them into a more upright position
