Getting ready to work on my 1/72 PBM-5 for the IFFGB and I was wonderig if there was a company out there that made aftermarket props. The engine is the Pratt and Whitnry R-2800 and it would be a Curtiss 4 blade prop. I’ve been looking but to no avail and I figured if anyone knew this was the place to ask.
Um, considering how much some of these resin AM firms are charging for such things, you might be better off buying four 1/72 P-47s with the C-W props. Are they cuffed or uncuffed? I assume the latter.

I think your right, I’ll swing by the local shop on the way home from work sometime this week and see what they have. The PBM only had two props so that makes it a little cheaper.
I believe Aeroclub makes a set in white metal. You should be able to get them from Roll Models and others.
Thanks for the Aeroclub info, now I just need to find out if they are the 3 blade design of the early PBM-3’s or the 4 blade design for the PBM-5’s that I need.
Paul is right, as usual. I was being facetious and also wasn’t paying proper attention to the type you are building. Aeroclub is always one of those Old Faithful manufacturers we forget about on this side of the pond, but they have long provided us seats, props, ladders and other things that no one else makes. Personally, for something like a prop that doesn’t require delicate, sharp relief, I would much prefer using WM to resin. White metal is a good enough material to offer a nice, scale airfoil without chipping on the trailing edge, as so many resin props are prone to do.
