After sanding defects out of primer

Advice need… It seems after spraying my body panels with primer some water has some how got into the parts and ruined it in several spots… So my question once I’ve sanded the defects out what is the usual procedure… Re prime the entire part, prime the defect area, or just go ahead with a colour coat? Thanks in advance

I’d probably spot prime it. Try a couple of ways to see what works.

Foxy, I second Bill’s advice, especially over just proceeding to apply your color coat over that spot. Better to have primer down, than not, in my experience. And it’s certainly possible and easy enough to re-prime that spot, than to do the whole piece over.
