Squadron produces some nice resin cockpits under their “True Details” label. They are well-detailed, and inexpensive. For Photo Etch, I would suggest checking out Eduard’s “Zoom” line. These are basic sets that don’t require a lot of surgery to use the parts. For engines, Aires makes some great resin & photo etch powerplants.

You can find these lines at:

www.squadron.com and www.greatmodels.com

Use the search feature, select aircraft accessories, and enter aircraft or engine name at Squadron.
For Great Models, search Manufacturer for aircraft accessories.

You will probably find the items you want here. There are other aftermarket companies such as Verlinden and Eduard’s full detail sets. These are more expensive and require more surgery and experience to install properly.

Hope this helps.

thanks ill be sure to check out thoes sites

I have several aftermarket companies listed on my model links page at http://www.craigcentral.com/models.asp in the “Detailing Parts” section. (if anyone knows of others let me know and I’ll add them)

Pixilater didn’t mention Blackbox and they make some very nicely detailed cockpits. I’ve used two of them and have been impressed with the detail in them.

Eduard has tons of PE parts, but the best way to get them is to order from one of the companies here such as Squadron.

I wanted to know who makes photo-etched nuts & bolts.

This company:

indicates that they have threaded hardware down to #00-90 size. I’m not sure exactly how small that is, but a #0-80 bolt a smallparts.com is shown as being 1/8" long so this would be a lot smaller than that. The “90” part indicates 90 threads per inch, so they will be very small.
