I’m looking for a couple of good, comprehensive sources for after market decals. I’ve found a couple of web sites that are pretty good but would like to find one or two that have an extensive catalog of decals especially for 1/48 scale. Any suggestions?
I recently bought my first set of after market decals, for my third model ever. They are twobobs decals, I ordered them off the twobobs website. The price was excellent, they didn’t charge for shipping, I got them in the mail inside of a week, and the quality is superb. I’d highly reccomend them, and plan to use them again myself if I can.
Hey genj,
I have used a variety of aftermarket decals from different companies and each one had their differences.
The ones that I would reccomend are the following,
Twobobs(www.twobobs.net)
Eaglestrike
AeroMaster(may now be part of Eaglestrike)
Experts Choice.
Off the top of my head these are what the mfgs concentrate on.
Twobobs- If you want a variety of modern US aircraft(AF, Navy, Marines)
AeroMaster- WWII, Korea, Vietnam era a/c.
Eaglestrike- These guys do WWII a/c and has done some modern stuff aswell.
I used Eaglestrike on my last build and let me tell ya they went on w/out a hitch!! It did not take a lot for them to adhere and when all was said and done, they appeared to have a painted on look.
Flaps up, Mike
