Acrylics

Recently just started useing MM Acryl, and i have to say, why did i ever begin to use enamel in the first place. These acrylics are so amazing with water wash up and the fumes, i cant smell anything! (i take this as a good thing and not bad lol )

My only problem was the thinning ratios. I based mine off Bgrigg’s ratio after searching the forums and wow! Just amazing! no more runny paint or beading up…tip dry is still there but it is so minor!

Thx to Triarius, Bgrigg, MikeV and the many others!

Oh yes acrylic user for life [bow]

Nice to know our tips helped you out. Thanks for posting and letting us know.

Cheers,

Bill

You are most welcome! [:D]

Being one of the culprits to use your advice, I’ll borrow this thread to thank you guys, too. You have helped me pick out an airbrush, use it better and gave me quite a few laughs also! [tup] to all of you!

Aw shucks! [:I]

I knew that would get you to blush[:)]

And yeah, acrylics are great, too!

We aim to please, and pun to kill…

[:-^]

Seriously, thanks! It’s nice to be appreciated, even if we are invertibrate punsters!

I’ll say. I like punning so much I once entered ten puns in a contest. Did I win you ask?

Sadly, no pun in ten did!

Yea, verily, we are truly a pundits of pun…which is better than being mere punditz…

I used to use MM Acryl paints but they would give me a bad headache. I use a Paasche spraybooth vented outside and a respirator. Still got headaches. Had to switch to Tamiya. No more headaches. Weird huh???

Probably something in the MM Acryls to which you are either naturally sensitive, or have been sensitized. That sort of thing is not uncommon. Happened to me, once. New additive in the lab that didn’t bother anyone but me. It made my stomach say: “EJECT! EJECT! EJECT!”

I’m now a die-hard acrylic user too! All thanks to Bill…[8-] I prefer Tamiya and Polly Scale.
